Article 4 (AI Data Processing)
The Service uses an external AI service (large language model API) to generate letters and Hona’s replies and conversations. Below is an explanation of how user data is handled in AI processing.
4.1 Data sent to AI
When generating letters or Hona’s replies or conversations, the following data is sent to the AI API:
- Birth date/time and birthplace (as birth chart calculation results)
- User’s nickname
- Letter content (when a reply from Hona is requested)
- Conversations with Hona (when talking with Hona, including recent messages in the same conversation)
4.2 Hona’s memory feature
The Service does not currently offer a feature to "let Hona remember past letters." When you talk with Hona, only the most recent messages of the same conversation are sent along to keep it coherent; other conversations and past letters are not sent. If this feature is offered in the future, it will be off by default, and this Policy will be updated in advance.
4.3 AI service provider
We currently use an API provided by OpenAI OpCo, LLC (United States). Data sent to it is handled under that company’s terms and privacy policy and may be processed and stored on servers in the United States or other countries. Under our contract with that company, the data we send is not used to develop or improve its services (including training its models). However, that company may retain it for up to 30 days to monitor for misuse.
